OUR STORY
About JayVon & Fitzgerald
JayVon purchased The Suggah Shack Healing Farm & Market (The Suggah Shack Farm) in 2020 after relocating from San Francisco, California to Louisiana, fulfilling her long-time dream to purchase a farm and homestead. That dream eventually grew to include her to desire to "Heal the Hood", by offering healthy foods and products to nearby communities. In 2022 with her partner Fitzgerald Darbone by her side, The Suggah Shack Farm came to life, and together they are working to realize the dream.

ABOUT THE SUGGAH SHACK
The Suggah Shack Healing Farm & Market (The Suggah Shack Farm) is a 10-acre farm located in Southwest Louisiana and established as our homestead/farm in early 2022. In addition to healing ourselves, The Suggah Shack farm is ON A MISSION to “Heal the Hood”, particularly surrounding food deserts and communities experiencing disparities in health outcomes. The Suggah Shack Farm commits to this mission by producing and distributing healthy foods and products and reconnecting children and adults to the land through healthy retreats and activities.
With over 200 chickens freely roaming the farm, our current focus is pasture-raised chicken eggs. Grow with us as we strive to reach 300 chickens.
